2016 Awards Presentation

2016 Awards Presentation

The Baltimore Gaelic Athletic Association held their annual end of year and sports award banquet at the James Joyce Irish Pub and Restaurant on February 11, 2017. There was certainly a great deal to celebrate with the club completing a sweep of the Mid-Atlantic Championships with the men’s and ladies football, hurling and camogie teams all winning their respective cups. The season culminated in a trip to Seattle for the USGAA National Finals, the highlight of which was a national championship for the Lady Bohs camogie team. The men’s football and hurling teams also made a great showing in the championships, playing outstanding games but coming up just short in the end.

The following awards were presented for the 2016 season:

Ladies Football:

Most Improved Player – Karen Yeoman

Player of the Year – Kristen McCaffrey

Men’s Football:

Most Improved Player – Pat Graham

Player of the Year – Gavin Blower

Hurling:

Most Improved Player – Ivan Houlihan

Player of the Year – James Clerkin

Camogie:

Most Improved Player – Amy Bornman

Player of the Year – Lucy Prendeville

“Boh” of the Year was presented to Caitlin Doolin for her outstanding efforts in supporting the Baltimore GAA and its mission both on and off the field.
