Join the Irish Railroad Workers’ Museum in celebrating the Baltimore Gaelic Athletic Association’s Championship season. The BGAA camogie team won the 2016 National Championship (Intermediate division) in Seattle, WA and the Hurling, Camogie and Men’s and Lady’s Football teams swept the 2016 Mid-Atlantic Conference Championships.  We invite you to come out and see the Championship Cups and meet the members of the Baltimore Bohemians while learning a bit about these traditional Irish sports.
The GAA was established in Ireland in 1884 during the Celtic Renaissance period and was instrumental in fostering the idealism and pride of Irish nation that led to the Irish Republic being born. The Baltimore Bohemians will be proudly demonstrating their game and equipment for all to see in the setting of good Irish Music and a celebratory cookout with a video of the games running inside the museum for folks to watch. The Baltimore GAA is interested in and presently expanding community outreach to invite, teach and coach all Baltimore youth interested in learning the traditional Irish sports, so the lads and lasses of the Baltimore Bohemian teams are looking forward to this family friendly and totalIy Irish and Baltimore event to meet new supporters and potential players.
